Welcome to beautiful Western Colorado!
I live in Ridgway, Colorado, in Ouray County, the gateway to the San Juan Mountains in the southwestern section of the state. Ridgway is about 27 miles south of my office in Montrose, and about 37 miles from the world renowned ski resort of Telluride. I truly believe I live in the one of best and most spectacular places on earth. I enjoy sharing the incredible lifestyle I enjoy in Western Colorado, which is the primary purpose of this blog. As a real estate professional, I, of course, also enjoy sharing information about the real estate market and helping others to take advantage of the real estate investment opportunities in this part of the country.
I am a retired divorce and family law attorney from Southern California, having grown up in San Diego County. I have made Colorado my home since November 2003. My legal background made for an easy transition into my new career in real estate after my move to Colorado. Despite the recent challenges of the economy and the real estate market, I truly love what I do. I really don’t feel like I have a job. As they say, find something you love to do, and you’ll never have to work again.
I work hard, but play harder, which is easy to do in Western Colorado. I hike, bike, ski, golf, camp, fish, raft, snow shoe, travel, and attend the various arts & craft and musical events that occur regularly throughout the region. Another favorite past-time of mine is wining and dining at the many unique and varied restaurants and pubs in the area. I am blessed with good health, good friends, and a life partner of 32+ years, Annabel Clarke, with whom I live along with our 2 horses, 2 airedale dogs, and 2 cats.
